The temple built in 1052 in Mid Heian Period has associations with the Fujiwara Clan. It has many highlights to see such as the national treasure Ho’odo Hall and Jodo Garden. Listed as a World Heritage as the ‘cultural property of the ancient capital of Kyoto’.
