A temple in KYOTO with imperial household associations. It is a prestigious monzeki temple where generations of emperors and imperial family members had served as Monzeki up until the early Meiji period. It is also a temple where ikebana began, and is the headquarters of "Ikebana Saga Goryu". It is also famous as a location for period dramas.
