Kofuku-ji Temple

The elegant five-story pagoda is the symbol of the beautiful ancient city of Nara. Its original temple was the Yamashina-dera Temple, built in the year 669, and the temple on the current site was transplanted from Fujiwarakyo in Asuka when the nation’s capital was transferred to Nara.
