The temple houses many treasures that represent Nara such as the statue of bodhisattva – an important cultural asset – as well as the main hall, which was donated by Iemitsu Tokugawa, the third shogun of the Edo Shogunate. The seasonal flower and foliage such as cherry blossoms, peonies and autumnal foliage, which showcase the grounds are fantastic, and the temple is called the “Temple of Flowers”.
