The main temple of Jodo Buddhism with many temple buildings of all sizes within its expansive grounds. Many valuable Buddhist structures can be found and some are national treasures or important cultural assets such as the nation's famous great belfry, which is considered to be one of the three greatest belfries of Japan, as well as Japan's largest wooden Sanmon gate in existence.
